North Dakota Ranked Top DUI State In 2018

North Dakota again ranks as one of the worst states for driving under the influence (DUI) arrests in the nation. According to FBI data on arrests by state, North Dakota holds the title for most number of DUI arrests per capita. In North Dakota, there are 678 DUI arrests made for every 100,000 residents.
By contrast, the average DUI arrest across the nation is about 289 arrests for DUI for every 100,000 people. Therefore, North Dakota’s DUI arrest rate is over twice the amount of the national average.

Certainly, these statistics matter because of the increased DUI enforcement seen in Watford City, Williston, Bismarck, Minot, and throughout the state. Obviously, North Dakota law enforcement agencies are committed to strictly enforcing drunk driving laws.
