Dylan Becker

Dylan Becker is an associate attorney focused on criminal defense and DUI defense at Sand Law in North Dakota.

Before transitioning into defense work, Dylan served as a Deputy District Attorney in Colorado’s 4th Judicial District.

His experience as a prosecutor gives him a complete understanding of how the State evaluates evidence, decides on and structures the charges, decides on plea deals and reduced charges, and how they present cases.

These insights are invaluable.

He now applies this knowledge to help defend any and all North Dakotans who need his help and the help of Sand Law. 

Dylan fiercely defends his clients who are facing criminal allegations, regardless of whether their charges are misdemeanors or capital felonies.

While at the District Attorney’s Office, Dylan handled a wide variety of criminal matters, including DUI cases, assault and battery, theft, domestic violence, drug charges, arson, murder, and everything in between.

In recognition of his trial work, Dylan earned a 2024 Award for Trial Excellence during his prosecutorial tenure to recognize his litigation skills and commitment to the job. We are lucky to have Dylan applying these same skill sets and his “above and beyond” mentality to our valued clients.

Dylan received his law degree from the University of North Dakota School of Law in 2019 after completing his bachelor’s degree in political science at the University of North Dakota. 

Despite his time in Colorado, he is a North Dakotan through and through and has returned home to help defend his fellow citizens.

Dylan is licensed to practice law in both Colorado and North Dakota.

Born in Bismarck, North Dakota, Dylan has a deep appreciation for the outdoors.

Bismarck is situated in the Missouri Plateau, a region of rolling plains cut by the Missouri River with a broad mix of grasslands, rivers, and some of the state’s most dramatic scenery, including the rugged badlands to the west.

Growing up surrounded by this beautiful scenery, Dylan developed a love for fly fishing, hiking, and camping. Today, he loves to share these activities with his wife and their two daughters, and spend any quality time with them he can get.
